Course Aims: To support you with gymnastics and to ensure that we give a consistent County message the Hunts School Sports Partnership have commissioned Carol Gronow, the Advisor for PE and Acting Head of CAS, to deliver a twilight training session for teachers on gymnastics across all of our families of schools.

Tennis for Teachers

Venue: Hinchingbrooke School
Provider: Hunts SSP
Course Aims: The course covers teaching large groups of children tennis activities during curricular time as well as after school clubs. The LTA are optimistic that they will be able to provide free equipment to all schools who have not accessed this offer in the past. Do not miss out on this opportunity, the equipment could include: a bag of tennis racquets, balls, resources to use the equipment and support curriculum tennis and fold up tennis nets.’

Cricket for teachers

Venue: Hinchingbrooke School
Provider: Hunts SSP
Course Aims: Cricket– Practical Course
This programme has been designed to give Primary Teachers or those working within Key Stage 2 the confidence to deliver cricket using a variety of small sided games and practices which can be delivered indoors and outdoors with limited cricket facilities.

The course will provide teachers with the opportunity to:
• review and practice coaching skills
• consider how aspects of knowledge at KS2 can be integrated into cricket
• integrate and apply key education aspects within cricket coaching sessions
• practice using the Howzat! resource to plan for and deliver cricket specific games and practices
• deliver micro-coaching and receive high quality feedback
• reflect on their skills and knowledge and build an action plan to support their professional development.
