KS1 & KS2 Panathlon Festival

KS1 and KS2 children with disabilities and special educational needs from Huntingdonshire had the opportunity to participate in a Multi-Sports Event at One Leisure St Ives Outdoor Centre on Tuesday 16th November.


The event which was organised by the Hunts School Sports Partnership alongside Panathlon gave the children the opportunity to take part in competitive sport. The primary Panathlon sports included; Boccia, bowling, precision bean bag, Basketball, Football, Tennis, Cricket and more.


Thank you to the following primary schools who attended the event; Buckden Primary Academy, Bushmead Primary School, Godmanchester Bridge Academy, Godmanchester Community Academy, Hartford Junior School, Priory Junior School, St Mary’s CofE Primary Academy and Winhills Primary Academy.


Congratulations to the following schools who finished with the highest accumulative scores across the 8 activities.

1st – Hartford Junior School

2nd – St Mary’s CofE Primary Academy

3rd – Winhills Primary Academy

Hartford Junior Godmanchester Bridge

St Ives Town Football Club education scholars who stepped in as leaders at the eleventh hour were professional throughout the event and fantastic with the children. A big thank you to the coaching staff for helping out and ensuring the festival could run as usual.


The next Hunts SSP Panathlon festival is due to take place on Tuesday 18th January with events for KS2 and KS3/4 children.
