NFL Flag Football Practice Festival
The rain did not deter 13 teams and 116 children from making their way to One Leisure St Ives Outdoor Centre on Tuesday 28th March for a NFL Flag Football Practice Festival.
The festival provided children from Year 5/6 the opportunity to play friendly NFL Flag matches against other schools, with the aim of the event to further develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of the non-contact version of American Football.
The festival was also an opportunity for school staff who attending the teacher training in November to continue their own learning, alongside the Sports Leaders from Hinchingbrooke School who confidence and competence grew whilst refereeing the matches.
The next stop is the Regional Competition, scheduled for Monday 15th May where we look forward to welcoming the schools back for the main event!
