Quadkids Athletics Competition for Years 5 & 6

Congratulations to the 22 schools, 36 teams and over 350 pupils who competed in the Hunts School Sports Partnership’s Quadkids athletics competitions on Tuesday 6th June. The fantastic athletics facilities at One Leisure St Ives Outdoor Centre hosted both a morning and afternoon event.

The weather was fantastic throughout the event, helping the 36 teams to enjoy a great day of athletics. The team spirit and determination were amazing throughout the day, this was exemplified during the sprint races when the children, sports leaders and parents cheered every runner over the finish line.

Quadkids Athletics is a team-based competition with 4 boys and 4 girls each competing in 4 disciplines: a long distance (600m) run, 75m sprint, a vortex throw and a standing long jump. All competitors scores are amalgamated resulting in a team score.
